Our Norfolk office opened in 2023, expanding Safe at Home into northeast Nebraska. Today, our local home care team provides dependable, personalized in-home care for older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Norfolk and the surrounding region, helping them remain safe, independent and comfortable at home.

In-home care for seniors and adults with disabilities
The need for a little extra help at home can look different for every person and family. Safe at Home supports older adults and individuals with disabilities who want to remain in their own homes while receiving the assistance they need with everyday life.
Our Norfolk caregivers can provide help with personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, errands, companionship, mobility and safety supervision, as well as respite for family caregivers. Care can be scheduled around each person's needs, whether that means a few hours of support or more consistent care.
Paying for in-home care through Nebraska Medicaid
Safe at Home works with eligible individuals who receive in-home services through Nebraska Medicaid programs, including the Aged and Disabled Waiver and Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver. These programs can help people receive the support they need while continuing to live at home and in their community.
In some situations, a spouse, parent or other family member may also be able to become a paid caregiver for a loved one. Safe at Home can help families understand their options and what steps may be needed to get started.
