How it started

Safe at Home began with a conversation around the dinner table and a concern that had become impossible to ignore. After more than a decade working in caregiving, founder Amber had seen firsthand how difficult it could be for families in rural Nebraska to find dependable care for the people they loved.

In 2021, those options were especially limited in Sidney and surrounding communities. Amber believed people shouldn't have to leave their homes or their communities simply because the support they needed wasn't available. That belief led to the opening of Safe at Home and a commitment to providing dependable, non-medical care close to home.

What began in Sidney has since grown across Nebraska, but the reason behind Safe at Home hasn't changed: support families, value caregivers and help people live safely and independently in the communities they call home.

Our commitment

Care is personal. The people we serve are someone's parent, grandparent, spouse, child, friend or neighbor, and we never lose sight of the trust families place in us.

Our commitment is to provide dependable, compassionate care while respecting each client's independence, dignity and individual needs. We listen, communicate openly and work to build relationships families can feel confident in.

As a locally owned Nebraska company, we're invested in the communities we serve. As Safe at Home continues to grow, that commitment stays the same: provide care we would want for our own families.
